For Hire - FAQ's

1. HOW DO I MAKE A BOOKING?

There are three options available to you when it comes to booking a hire vehicle from us. These are;

1. Booking through the Nick Whale Motorhomes Hire booking page, which can be found here. Input your hire vehicles preferences (birth/belts/transmission) and enter the dates you are looking to go away. Once you click the blue update button the results that match your criteria will be shown below with the word 'Available' showing in green. If a vehicle is NOT available for hire during the time period you chose it will clearly state that it is unavailable and be marked in red. 

2. Telephone. We are always on the other end of the telephone to take your calls, bookings and to guide you through the Nick Whale Motorhomes Hire booking page. If you are struggling for any reason or would like to be walked through the booking process, please feel free to call us and we will, step by step, walk you through making your booking!

3. In person. If you're visiting our Nick Whale Motorhomes showroom, WR11 8SN, and decide you would like to hire out a vehicle whilst you are there then this is also a possibility! Whichever member of staff you are dealing with during your visit will be able to guide you through the process of making a future hire booking. This will involve giving you access to the Nick Whale Motorhomes Hire booking page via a dedicated laptop (that has been sanitised) and walking you through the booking process.  
 

2. WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE HIRE COST?

1. The motorhome as booked or an equivalent.

2. Unlimited mileage.

3. Breakdown cover (Mainland U.K.)

4. Soft furnishings, bed linen, towels and utensils. (A full itemised list for each vehicle is included on our hire page)


3. WHAT'S THE MINIMUM HIRE PERIOD?

The minimum hire period is 7 days, currently Friday to Friday. 


4. DO I NEED TO INSURE THE MOTORHOME?

No. The motorhome is insured through us.
 

5. WHAT LEVEL OF SECURITY DEPOSIT IS REQUIRED?

1. Minimum payment of £1000.

2, Additional payment of £250 per pet (up to 2 small pets permitted).

These are payable on collection.


6. WHEN DO I PAY?

1. 25% on booking. This will be via a bank transfer.

2. Remaining 75% will need to be paid 6 weeks prior to booking. Note; If the hire period begins less than 6 weeks from the initial booking then the payment will be due in full.

 
7. HOW CAN I PAY?

There are two ways in which you can pay.

1. Bank transfer. You will be emailed a clarification email with our bank details. 

2. Credit/Debit card. You must be able to visit our showroom near Evesham (WR11 8SN) in order to use this method of payment.

Please note; We DO NOT accept cash payments. 


8. WHAT ARE THE CANCELLATION FEES?

1. More than 6 weeks from date of collection = 25% (initial deposit)

2. Between 3 and 6 weeks from date of collection = 50%

3. Less than 3 weeks from date of collection = 100%


9. WHERE CAN I GO?

Mainland U.K. only.
 

10. WHO CAN DRIVE THE MOTORHOME?

The hirer plus one other person. All drivers MUST be between the ages of 30 - 70 and provide a valid drivers license on collection. 


11. WHAT AGE ARE YOUR MOTORHOMES?

All our hire motorhomes are under a year old. (We own each vehicle from new in our dedicated hire fleet).


12. CAN I DRIVE WITH POINTS ON MY LICENSE?

Yes you can. You can drive one of our hire motorhomes with up to 2 speeding convictions.

Note; if you have any other queries about convictions then please do contact us prior to booking.
 

13. ARE THERE RESTRICTIONS ON WHERE I CAN TAKE THE MOTORHOME?

Yes, use is not permitted;

1. Outside mainland U.K.

2. For festivals and large gatherings.


14. WHAT TIME CAN I COLLECT AND RETURN THE MOTORHOME?

1. Collection times will be between 15:00 - 16:00 on your collection date.

2. Return times will be between 09:00 - 11:00 on your return date.

These times will be agreed with you 3 weeks prior to your collection.

Note; There will be a charge if you return the vehicle late.

15. WHAT ABOUT OUT OF HOURS SUPPORT?

We will provide emergency 'Out of Hours Support' until 21:00. This will be offered through an a app called 'Slack' (a free messenging service available on iOS/Android phones and all laptops/tablets). We will set this up with you before you leave. You will have direct communication with a member of the team and they will be able to put you in contact with the right person to support you. This will be used as an emergency line only. We will provide you with a 'support pack' before you leave which includes; an 'essentials guide' and informative 'how-to' videos, and any further queries should be asked via ringing the office number (01386 870852) between the hours of 09:00 - 17:00.
 

16. WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING WITH ME ON THE DAY OF COLLECTION?

1. Driving license (to provide evidence of eligability to drive).

2. Passport (for identification purposes).

3. Current (under 90 days) utility bill (for identification purposes).

4. Debit/Credit card (for charge of security depost, from £1000 - £1500)

5. National Insurance Number

 
17. CAN I TAKE MY PETS?

Yes, up to 2 small pets but note there is an additional security deposit required of £250 per pet.


18. ARE THERE ALTERNATIVE COLLECTION ADDRESSES?

No, the vehicle must be collected from our dealership near Evesham.

19. WHAT MUST I DO TO PREPARE THE MOTORHOME FOR RETURN?

1. The vehicle must return with a full tank of fuel.

2. The vehicle must return with full LPG gas (there are filling stations within 5 miles of our dealership).

3. Empty the toilet cassette.

4. Empty the grey water.

5. Tidy and pack all personal belongings before arriving.
