We spoke on the phone earlier this week about your Auto Sleeper Broadway FB on the Fiat Ducato chassis with the rare automatic gearbox. At the time I explained that we were also considering an Auto Sleeper Winchcombe, which we were awaiting a national transfer to view more locally yesterday.
Having viewed and test driven the Winchcombe yesterday my wife and I found it was in excellent condition and so, regrettably for yourselves, we have decided to purchase it.
However, I wished to express my sincere thanks for the time and effort you took to explain the differences and pros/cons of the Fiat vs Mercedes chassis and gearbox. The knowledge and experience which you kindly shared with me over the phone was most helpful to me, particularly as a first time buyer, and gave me the insight and confidence to proceed with our purchase.

Just a quick note to say how happy we are with the repairs to our Nuevo you competed recently. We went away in our motorhome for a long weekend to test all the changes prior to a much longer trip to Spain. We were delighted with the new fridge and the cooker was a joy to use now that the knobs no longer get too hot to handle. At one point we had every burner on the cooker going at the same time and still the knobs could be touched.
I would also like to say how pleasant it was to deal with Shaun. He was attentive to our description of the issues and diligent in getting them all resolved. He is clearly one of the good guys.
I brought my WildAx over from the Ilse of Man last Wednesday 30th October, for its first Habitation check to your service operation. We are now back home and I would just like to say thankyou to Roy for doing the check and sorting a few minor issues too. I found his knowledgeable explanations understandable. Not knowing the location, I appreciated the coffee and a very comfortable waiting area with WIFI.
Please can you thank all the team at Nick Whales particularly Woody who didn’t pressure us in any way and was extremely friendly and professional, Attila for excellent customer support and Martin who provided a great handover and training session on our new motorhome. Just wanted to let you know what fantastic service I received when I bought my campervan in with a problem on Wednesday 16th October. All the staff I encountered were friendly and helpful, even down to guiding me there by phone when I had got a little lost.. The waiting area was comfortable whilst my van was sorted out and appreciated. Roy sorted the problem for me and I was so pleased with the outcome. I will not hesitate to come back for service and checks. So thank you it’s great to feel confident that a job will be done well.

All the staff were very friendly efficient and polite. The explanation of the controls was handled with care and although slightly mind blowing for my poor pea sized brain no question I asked or a repetition of the fact just given was handled in an extremely polite an effiicient manner.

I have been considering a "van" for the past five years. In that time I have visited numerous dealers and two motorhome shows including NEC. Although I have been tempted on many occasions, it has never been either the right van, or I wasn’t happy with the sales person, or the offer.
Last September I visited an Autosleeper dealer near Chester with a good reputation and almost signed on the line. Whilst mulling over the deal I found Nick Whale motorhomes online. I had narrowed my options to either Wildax or Autosleeper and Nick Whale motorhomes had both in stock with a massive range of both. The previous year I had visited Wildax too. I phoned the next morning and spoke to Paul and we arranged an appointment for the same day. It was an 80 mile drive, but I wanted to drive down and meet them to view all of the vans. I had also heard of a new model being released, the Symbol Plus. We were keen on either a Warwick Duo or Symbol Plus. The only problem was the Plus was not being released to view until the NEC show in October. However Paul made phone calls to the Autosleeper factory and eventually managed to get an appointment for us to view the Plus, this was before any dealers had seen it. I immediately left a deposit with Paul and left with no date as to when the vehicle would be available.
The vehicle became available for me in December, but having no use for it two weeks before Christmas, decided to delay delivery to the 2nd January, thereby getting the V5 with a date of registration being 2019.
On the day of collection Shaun spent three hours explaining and demonstrating every working part of the van. We had decided to stay close by for two nights to ensure there were no problems. We had a massive problem with the cooker releasing far too much gas and causing quite a potentially serious accident. The cooker had been turned on and the hob and grill during handover and at that time there was no problem. It appears that the regulator seriously failed coupled with a possible overfill of gas from the garage. This gas filling was done by Nick Whale motorhomes and not by me. It is assumed at this stage that the garage filling pump is faulty and therefore maybe overfilled the onboard tank. The inspection and repair of the van was carried out by Shaun and Autosleepers themselves. This now works perfectly. We have found one more problem with the drivers seat not swivelling correctly. The seat base comes into contact with part of the seat bed base cabinetry. This is now being investigated as a possible design fault. I now need to await the decision on what rectification is going to take place.
At all times the whole staff from Sales to Workshop, and admin has been fantastic. All phone calls are answered immediately from either the sales team or the workshop. The showroom for all vehicles is under cover. Secondhand vehicles and Wildax are in an outside viewing area. There is lots of tea and coffee and biscuits which you are greeted with on arrival and during a stress free exploration of all the vehicles. Paul will accompany you or allow you to browse on your own the choose is your own.
We had been to a number of Motorhome and Caravan Shows at the NEC since selling our A Classs Euro Mobil motorhome last year. We had toured in this motorhome to Europe especially to the South of France and Spain. Back home we did have trouble on occasions getting onto narrow lanes in Devon and Cornwall. Getting to costal sights could also be a problem with the width and height of the vehicle. There was also a realisation that age was catching up on us and a desire to step down from holding a C1 licence.
The WildAx Solaris XL is a very well devised van conversion that was narrower and kept the overall weight below 3.5 tonnes. It also enabled our married daughters to use it for family holidays with their children.
We have visited Nick Whale Motorhome Ltd to view their extensive stock of new and used vans. The outcome of these visits confirmed our wish to proceed with the purchase of the WildAX. The staff could not have been more helpful and especially the excellent advise and support we received from the workshops in fitting our extras to the van. The collection process could not have been handled better. The fact that on our first attempt to collect had to be postponed because I was not well enough to drive it home.
We wish to thank the dedicated on site staff for making the purchase such an enjoyable process. We give you all a 5star rating and look forward to using our excellent services with our new van over the years.
